The Houston Young Lawyers Association Chooses xCatalyst for Next Generation Website Platform
ESX, Inc. announced today that the Houston Young Lawyers Association has chosen the xCatalyst Platform for their next generation web platform. HYLA was founded in 1937. In the 1970's, HYLA became an independent association and changed its name from the Houston Junior Bar to the Houston Young Lawyers Association. By the mid 80's the organization had grown to and had repeatedly won awards locally and nationally as an outstanding young lawyers association. The focus in membership was to attract in-house corporate attorneys. HYLA has grown to nearly 2,000 members. Its membership included future mayors, city council members, trial, state and federal judges and distinguished attorneys. The initial few committees have grown to over 30 committees and 90 projects. This year the association will celebrate 60 years of service to the community and the profession.The HYLA website is out of date and the content is difficult to keep current. The new website will have a creative design update. xCatalyst Platform modules that will be used by HYLA include:
Content Management System: All designated staff will now have access to enter and update website content, eliminating traditional bottlenecks to make it easier to provide information in an almost real-time manner.
Community Tools: xCatalyst Community tools provide target groups with specific information and interactive online services with password access to what essentially become micro-sites dedicated to specific user groups on the larger website.
Communications: HYLA is using a variety of xCatalyst's cost-saving features to more efficiently communicate news and events of interest to specific audiences. New communications tools also will make it easier for HYLA to receive information such as questions, online registration forms and poll responses.
